Louis Vuitton has confirmed a data breach affecting its UK customer base, marking the third cybersecurity incident linked to LVMH brands in as many months.

The breach occurred on July 2, 2025, and exposed customer names, contact details, and purchase histories. While the luxury fashion house emphasized that no financial or payment data was accessed, it has notified the UK Information Commissioner’s Office and contacted impacted customers as part of its regulatory obligations.

This breach follows earlier incidents involving Louis Vuitton’s South Korea division and Christian Dior Couture, raising industry-wide concerns about the cybersecurity posture of LVMH, the world’s largest luxury conglomerate. Although no hacker group has claimed responsibility, the frequency and pattern of attacks have sparked scrutiny from analysts. Louis Vuitton stated that it is cooperating with external cybersecurity experts to investigate the incident and conduct a forensic review, though it has yet to reveal how the attackers gained access or how many individuals were affected.

Customers have been advised to stay alert for phishing scams referencing their past purchases or exclusive promotions. Security experts recommend avoiding unsolicited links, monitoring personal accounts, and enabling multi-factor authentication where possible. As cyberattacks against fashion and retail giants rise in 2025, LVMH’s response to these repeated incidents will likely influence consumer trust and investor confidence. With over 70 brands under its umbrella, including Dior and Fendi, the group faces increasing pressure to demonstrate a stronger, unified cybersecurity strategy.
