The Institute of Risk Management (IRM) is the world's leading enterprise-wide risk education Institute. The IRM is an independent, well-respected advocate of the risk profession, owned by practising risk professionals operating internationally, with members and students in over 100 countries, drawn from a variety of risk-related disciplines and a wide range of industries.

A panel of 29 leading risk management professionals from 16 countries across five continents judged the final shortlist.

When announcing the Awards shortlist IRM chief executive Steve Fowler said: "As the leading international educational institute in the field of risk management, IRM is uniquely placed to identify and reward outstanding performance. Our judges were astounded by the quality and range of entries received. Every shortlisted nominee has done extremely well to get so far in a very competitive field.

It will be quite a day as we're laying on not only the awards ceremony but also a day of expert risk culture seminars to take advantage of the presence of such a distinguished gathering of risk professionals."
